That's a wrap ...

The 2024 – 2025 GRFU age grade county festivals concluded with the U7’s playing in glorious sunshine at Gordon League RFC.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following clubs and all of the volunteers at each club who worked so hard to allow almost 3000 children the opportunity to showcase the skills that they have been learning since the beginning of the season.

Paul Bryan – Clifton RFC who hosted the U12’s on March 2nd

Rich Mellor – Chosen Hill FP RFC who hosted the U11’s on March 9th

Jason Roberts – Drybrook RFC who hosted the U10’s on March 16th

Jon Newton/Dave Mackey – Brockworth RFC who hosted the U9’s on March 23rd

Frank Bakos Kingswood RFC who hosted the U8’s on April 6th

Alan McMahon/Simon Jones/Phil Grinnell – Gordon League RFC who hosted the U7’s on April 27th

My thanks to all of the age grade coaches who feely give their time to train these young people

............and finally I would also like to thank Sandy Weevers for her on-going support and also to all of my GRFU colleagues who came along and hopefully saw some entertaining rugby.
