New partnership with Ripples Wellbeing

"In 2018, James and Heidi embarked on a transformative journey in the realm of rugby, driven by a shared vision to address mental health challenges, and inspired by the tragic loss of fellow player Jen in 2017, they launched the Ripples mental health program at Bristol Bears Women.

The scheme evolved into Ripples Wellbeing, which now encompasses counselling services, Clinical Supervision, MHFA training, workplace wellbeing, and event speaking. The 'ripple' effect extends beyond the rugby community, positively impacting Bristol.

We have grown from an idea to a team of ten offering our services across Bristol and the UK. We work with charity partners, large business corporations and local clients from the heart of Bristol. We lead with open hearts to support those in need, and play our part in reducing stigma and raising awareness whilst encouraging others to play their part in making a difference.

As Ripples Wellbeing looks ahead to 2025, we are absolutely delighted to be working with the GRFU. Rugby is at the core of how we came together, with the recent announcement of England Legend Marlie Packer being our ambassador we are raising our profile to strive to keep Jen's memory alive.

Look out for opportunities to get involved and together let's support our well-being!"
